Erika Sato
VIOLIN
A native of Portland, Oregon, violinist Erika Sato brings distinguished performance experience to every gathering. Praised by The Washington Post for her “elegant” and “riveting” artistry, Erika has performed with leading ensembles including the Colorado Symphony Orchestra, the Kennedy Center Opera House Orchestra, and the New Jersey Symphony.
For more than two decades she has performed with one of the nation’s premier military bands, and has built a career defined by versatility, refinement, and thoughtful musicianship, performing as a soloist and chamber musician, throughout the Washington, D.C. region.
An avid collaborator, Erika has appeared with organizations including The American Chamber Players and at internationally recognized festivals such as Aspen, Banff, Tanglewood, Spoleto USA, and Spoleto Festival Italy. She holds Bachelor and Master of Music degrees in violin performance from The Juilliard School, where she studied with Masao Kawasaki.

Brian Turnmire
GUITAR
Washington, DC-based multi-instrumentalist and vocalist Brian Turnmire brings a rare combination of artistry, versatility, and experience to each performance. For more than two decades, he has performed professionally as a trumpeter and guitarist with one of the nation’s premier military bands, appearing in concert, ceremonial, and collaborative settings throughout the region.
A dedicated musician and educator, Brian has also served as a conductor for sacred choral ensembles in Southern Maryland for more than twenty years. His broad musical background, artistry, and collaborative approach bring warmth and refinement to every E&B performance.
Brian holds a Bachelor of Music Education from the University of Georgia.​​​​​
